Design | The Art of Aesthetic Enjoyment.

Brands are continuing to get creative as they adapt to the current state of affairs - offering novel ways to experience their products and engage their services.

One such trend is ‘Aesthetic Enjoyment’ - surreal looping videos serving veritable eye candy. They take viewers away from their seats and into abstract spaces with high-concept narratives.

The transportive nature of this content is a handy way for brands to quickly pivot their activities, especially in the wake of global industry events and physical installations being cancelled.

The best example is BMW and how they changed tack launching the Concept i4. Instead of the originally planned unveiling at the Geneva International Motor Show, BMW created a series of surreal videos. This 'digital' launch proved to be quite effective - causing an impact that surely, the traditional physical unveiling may not have had.
